Dialup Setup on Windows 95/98/ME
Double click on the My Computer icon on your Desktop.
Double click on Dial-Up Networking icon.
Double click on Make New Connection icon.
A Make New Connection wizard will come up. Type Comcen into the Type a name for the computer you are dialing field.
Click on the Next button.
Enter the telephone number into the Telephone number field and then click on Next button.
Use this number: 0198333873
Click on the Finish button.
Right click on the icon that you just created and select Properties
Make sure that you untick the box next to Use area code and Dialing Properties.
Click on Server Types tab.
Make sure that you untick the following:
- Log on to network
- NetBEUI
- IPX/SPX Compatible
The only boxes that should be ticked are Enable software compression and TCP/IP.
Click on the OK button.
Right click on the icon you just created and select Create Shortcut
Click on the Yes button.
Double click on the shortcut that you just created on your Desktop
Enter your user name and password.
Make sure that the phone number is correct before you click on the Connect button.
