Security Warning

Phishing/Spam email :: UPDATED 6/8/08

It has come to our attention there are emails circulating, claiming to be from Comcen and asking customers to verify their password information via an included web address.

These emails are NOT legitimate mail from us and should be simply discarded.

We will never ask you to visit a website outside our network to update any of your sensitive information. You can do this yourself at any time through our User Service section from the Comcen website.

You will notice that the grammar is poor and that there is a very impersonal signature. These factors, coupled with the link to somewhere outside of our network, are usually good indicators that the message is a hoax.

There are a few variations of these types of spam, which have a similar purpose or request. Below is a sample of two such emails currently being sent:

Variation 1:
