ADSL2+ BROADBANDIf you are not an existing customer, and have decided to sign up to Comcen you will need to know the process. The first thing you need to do is hit the sign up button and fill in our online form. Once the order has been sent to us, we will begin the provisioning process. If you have a current ADSL1 service on the number you are going to port to us, that doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter which ISP you are currently with, as long as it's a Telstra or Telstra Wholesale based service. Your current ADSL and Phone services will be functional until the cut-over date or the "Jumpering Date". On the jumpering date, there will be a 15 minute system outage for inbound and outbound calls plus your ADSL. Once jumpered, outbound calls and ADSL2+ comes online and you are now able to use your new service. Calls originating from the Optus HFC will go through re-direction for several hours. The whole process for a migration to Comcen ADSL2+ Bundle takes on average 10 working days. If you are an existing Comcen ADSL customer, you will still need to "signup" to these new ADSL2+ Bundled services. You would need to fill in the online form as normal. In the form you will be required to enter your existing ADSL phone number and tick the box specifying you are an existing Comcen ADSL customer. Your current Comcen ADSL will remain active until the cut-over date when your service will be migrated across to our ADSL2+ network. If you do not have an ADSL2+ compatible modem you will either need to purchase one during ADSL2+ signup, or buy one yourself. Your current email addresses and webspace be maintained during this process. |
