4. REPORT: This is an updated compendium of blood/clinical parameters
for Cocker Spaniels with CRF and a useful future data reference for
practitioners. The work is generally well presented albeit with some
language errors. ABSTRACT: Needs to be rewritten to OJVR format:
example Factors that cause anemia in.. were evaluated instead of
"Objectives: etc". Otherwise the abstract is concise. Introduction:
Short and well referenced, to the point. Materials and methods: The
status of both groups is supported by adequate blood tests and clinical
examinations, and the group numbers are adequate. My only concern is
the lack of clinical data as for example mean weight of each group,
however this is not essential. Concerning the analysis, the Figure 1
the correlations do not appear to be very linear, maybe further
analysis incorporating other parameters may have been more
useful/significant as to the causes. (ie multiple non-linear regression
analysis). In any case accept with minor changes. Thank you for
allowing me to review this manuscript OP.
